Emotional Intelligence

To improve communication, develop a deeper level of empathy for others, and approach obstacles in a more optimistic way, we need to be able to detect, comprehend, and regulate our emotions. This is known as emotional intelligence (Daniel Goleman).

“Emotional intelligence is the ‘something’ in each of us that is a bit intangible. It has an impact on how we control our behavior, traverse social difficulties, and make decisions for ourselves that have a favorable outcome.

That “something” that emotional intelligence gives us, not only makes us better at handling our emotions, we also become better at managing a range of scenarios in which our emotions may influence our actions. And it enables us to respond to those circumstances in ways that are more beneficial, efficient, and constructive.
